Change in the ownership structure of Atende Software, the country’s largest provider of technologies for Internet television.
On December 29, 2020, an agreement was concluded for the sale of 100% shares in Atende Software, a company belonging to the Atende S.A. capital group. The buyer is a company associated with Custodia Capital, an investment company supporting small and medium-sized entities in Central and Eastern Europe. The value of the transaction was PLN 52.5 million.
The Atende Software company was established in 2007 and from the beginning of its operating activities it has focused on the development and commercialization of the proprietary technology platform redGalaxy, which is the basis for the construction of Internet TV services. Starting from 2015, the company is also developing the redGuardian platform, the first operator-class system in the country to protect against DDoS attacks.
From 2011, Atende Software also dealt with the development of systems for the energy sector in the field of smart grids. On November 30, 2020, this activity was separated in the form of an organized part of the enterprise and the company Atende Industries was established from it, which is owned 100% by Atende S.A.
– Atende Software was and is in the multimedia part the largest provider of Internet TV services in the country, with ambitions for further expansion, also internationally. Further development requires full concentration on this goal. I hope that the new owners of Atende Software, including Przemysław Frasunek, board member, innovator and one of the main creators of the company’s technological foundations, will achieve this goal. On the other hand, Atende’s goal will be to focus on the development of Atende Industries, mainly in the area of energy. The process of changes in the energy sector in the field of renewable energy sources and smart grids is the greatest challenge in our country for the coming decades, also for the IT industry. By fully focusing on the issues of new generation energy, we will be able to fully join this process. Atende Software’s strategy for the coming years includes rapid expansion abroad, based on the OTT product dedicated to smaller clients from the B2B sector and the development of new products offered in the PaaS model for corporate clients.
